Our Values and Use of Technology

Paper Lantern Social Club was created to help people build real friendships and community through in-person events. To expedite this, we use technology. Every decision we make starts with what helps our members connect in real life.

We work with real hosts and organizers who know our members and our events. Their judgment shapes how events are run and how people are welcomed into the group.

We also use technology, including some AI assisted tools, to support that work. Technology helps us organize events, personalize what members see in the app, and handle routine tasks so our hosts can spend their time on the parts of the job that need a person, not a computer.

We are committed to using AI responsibly. We support local businesses when we can, and using AI helps us keep our costs low. We follow AI best practices as our business and this technology continue to grow.
