Making friends as an adult shouldn't be this hard. People are busy. They move to new cities. Friend groups shift. Work, relationships, parenting, and everyday life make it surprisingly difficult to meet people looking for the same kind of connection you are. There's plenty to do, just not always an easy way to find the people you'd actually want to do it with. So we started bringing people together in real life.

Paper Lantern Social Club is built for adults who want more than another event on their calendar. We create opportunities to meet people, make plans, and build friendships that go somewhere after the event ends.

A crowded room doesn't automatically create connection. The best experiences happen when people have enough context to know who they're meeting, enough structure to make conversation feel natural, and enough shared interest to make following up feel possible.

Paper Lantern is more than a social calendar. It's a better way to make friends as an adult, through thoughtfully designed events, friend matching, member led plans, and opportunities to see each other again on purpose.

Friendship doesn't usually happen in one night. It happens when you see someone again, when you find out you both love the same local market, want to try the new restaurant, need a walking buddy, or have been looking for someone to go to concerts, classes, art walks, and random Tuesday plans with.

Paper Lantern gives those connections a place to grow. We're building a social club where people meet through real experiences, make plans beyond the event, and feel more connected to the city and community around them. Adult friendship deserves more intention, more follow-through, and better opportunities to begin, because life is better when you have people to call.
